What is my Integrated Psychotherapy
Integrative Psychotherapy – the best of both worlds.
What do I have to offer? Integrative health care implementing three modalities: Short term Psychotherapy with CBT and EMDR. Homeopathy and Bioresonance – whether for emotional or physical problems.
Mental and emotional issues can cause physical symptoms such as palpitations when suffering from anxiety, migraines from tension and sleep problems from depression.
There is also a long list of psychosomatic illnesses that are influenced by our emotional state, such as high blood pressure, Diabetes, IBS, Fibromyalgia and so forth.
Physical issues can also cause mental/emotional symptoms.
Someone suffering from a chronic or acute illness can often develop Anxiety and Depression due to mal-adaptive copying mechanisms or simply as a secondary response to their illness.
There are other types of physical issues, called "Functional illnesses" that can also be connected to emotional problems. Modern day man suffers from unexplainable physical symptoms such as pains, headaches, allergic reactions, bowel issues fatigue and so forth. Issues that cannot be explained with regular blood tests or other diagnostic tests. The same undiagnosable causal factors for these physical issues, can also be the cause for emotional issues such as Anxiety and Depression or ADHD and other childhood problems.
Integrative Psychotherapy, is a Functional Therapeutic approach to illness. It does not differentiate between mind and body but sees the person as a whole. Accordingly, whether you are suffering from an emotional or physical issue, with this integrated system of therapy the return to health is much quicker and more efficient.
How?
Psychotherapy will help you work through and deal with internal or external stresses of day to day life. If suffering from emotional symptoms than it can be established whether you would benefit more from Classical Dynamic Psychotherapy that will help understand past issues and their influence on your life today or maybe you will benefit more from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy that is more grounded in the here and now. Either therapy will be integrated in your general treatment plan if necessary.
Homeopathy is a mode of alternative therapy that delves more deeply into the interactions of mind body as a totality. Homeopathy is a very individualized mode of therapy and usually the mental/emotional symptoms are the most important in differentiating and choosing the right remedy. Therefore it is imperative for the Homeopath to understand not only what is going on physically with the client but also what is going on emotionally. The success of the cure depends very much on this.
Bioresonance is performed by a bio-energetic instrument that implements cutting edge 21st century technology for holistic diagnosis and therapy. This is a non-invasive diagnostic instrument on the energetic level that detects energetic deficiencies or over-activity and helps to balance them out. (Bioresonance is not a medical diagnostic instrument and does not diagnose traditional medical issues). Bioresonance therapy helps release energetic blockages in the body and by so doing improves emotional and physical health.
The treatment plan:
The Initial intake:
Concerning emotional issues the frequency of the sessions depends whether it is necessary to include
Psychotherapy in the treatment plan or not.
Usually after three or four weeks there is a follow-up session during which we re-evaluate the situation. Another Bio-resonance testing is taken and a new remedy is supplied.
